Who is eligible for full membership?

Full membership is only open to:

• Projects running domestic violence perpetrator programmes and/or providing associated support services to partners / ex-partners
• Trainers and consultants of those undertaking such work

All full members must

• Support the aims and objectives of Respect
• Work in accordance with Respect’s ‘Statement of Principles and Minimum Standards of Practice’ (2004)

Benefits of Full Membership

1. The right to participate in the decision making which shapes Respect's policy and development as a National organisation. Full members have the right to vote at Respect's AGM, and to stand as a member of Respect's Executive Committee.

2. Obtain a free listing in Respect's national directory.

3. Receive a free copy of the national directory and the Respect Standard

4. Receive a free copy of the Respect newsletter.

5. Receive regular fortnightly e-mail updates, covering up to date events, legislation and news.

6. Receive discounts on Respect events and services.

Statements about membership

No projects have applied for accreditation yet (October 2008) and Respect is not in a position to endorse any of our members until they become accredited. Therefore membership of Respect must not be mentioned, displayed or advertised in any way that implies the endorsement or approval of Respect.

Full members may describe themselves as follows:
“I am / we are a full member of Respect and work in accordance with the Respect Standard."
